Graduator of the Architecture – Mechanological Department of the University, with interest in short climate drawings, Fey Papanikou has also attended jewelry seminars.
For almost 8 years she continued creating jewelry with bold architectural elements, influenced by her academic studies.
Her designs are simple and clear, with geometric forms and one can find them in modern art museums, galleries and designers’ exhibitions.
It is no coincidence that these small works of art have been exhibited in museums and galleries both in Greece and abroad.
Her jewelries have a solid background and they can be worn by people, each time offering a sophisticated appearance.
The “Amfitheatro” collection is inspired by the design of the floor plan of the ancient Greek Theatre, and it combines architecture and art jewelry. Keeping the key parts unharmed, such as the Orchestra and the Concave (stairs, seats), she creates a new unit which is reproduced and completed in necklaces, earrings, rings and brooch.
This unit is placed to the body, sometimes conventional and other times subversively, adjusted to the human size.
This collection combines ancient Greek elements and modern design, yielding a chic and delicate effect, even if the basic principles of design are not adequately visible.
